Hebshie's Heroes

Robert Hebshie was a valued friend/employee of South Shore Support Services for over 15 years! He was an amazing advocate, an incredible teacher and just a really great man all around. Sadly, “Bob” passed away on October 5, 2015. We all miss him dearly.

We wish to continue honoring Bob’s name by establishing a scholarship fund in his memory. We plan on offering two types of scholarships.

  • 1st would be for individuals with developmental disabilities for financial assistance with vacations or education for people in need.
  • 2nd would be for high school or college students pursuing a career in human services.

We are pleased to announce Ashley Glynn as the first recipient of our Hebshie’s Heroes Scholarship. Ashley is a graduating senior at Cardinal Spellman High School. She will be majoring in psychology in the fall. Ashley has volunteered at Father Bill’s and at Cardinal Spellman’s community service days. Her goal is to become an adjustment counselor. We wish her success in her studies.
