A Friendly Face in the Self-Checkout Lane: Celebrating Teresa’s New Role

We’ve all been there: you’re at the grocery store self-checkout, the machine is abruptly telling you there is an “unexpected item in the bagging area,” and you’re looking around for a friendly face to help.

If you shop at the Cohasset Stop & Shop, you are in luck. You might just get assisted by one of the hardest-working, most positive people around: Teresa Murray.

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Teresa was recently promoted from her role as a bagger to manning the busy self-checkout station!

Dedication in Action

Teresa’s promotion is a direct reflection of her incredible work ethic. Clocking in 35 hours a week, she even chose to give up her Saturdays at Stop & Shop. Why? So she could secure a mid-week day off to continue attending Launch.

That kind of commitment doesn’t go unnoticed. According to her Program Director, Teresa is a true beacon of motivation:

“Teresa is an inspiration to all at Launch with her can-do approach to everything and her positive attitude.”

Whether she is tackling a new challenge at our program or helping a customer navigate a grocery scan, Teresa brings 100% of her heart and energy to the task.

A Community That Grows Together

Teresa’s success is a beautiful reminder of what happens when hard work meets opportunity. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the management team at the Cohasset Stop & Shop. Thank you for creating an inclusive, supportive workplace culture where every single employee has the environment they need to learn, thrive, and climb the ladder.

Teresa, the entire Launch community is immensely proud of you. We can’t wait to see you shine in your new role—and we know the shoppers of Cohasset are in the absolute best hands!

Next time you’re passing through the Cohasset Stop & Shop self-checkout, be sure to give Teresa a big congratulatory high-five!
